A. Using your own game

Load a local PS2 file

  • Supported formats: .iso, .cso, .chd, .isz, .bin, .elf.
  • No ROM upload: disc reads happen from the browser File object.
  • No Sony BIOS: Play! uses its built-in HLE BIOS implementation.

B. Experimental status

What works in this build

  • Included: touch controls, Gamepad API controllers, remapping, fullscreen, persistent virtual memory cards.
  • Not faked: save-state slots are disabled until we expose Play!'s native state functions in a custom WASM build.
  • Compatibility: varies by game and device.

Opening this menu does not pause the stock Play! web core. Real pause/resume and save-state slots require the extended Play! WASM build and are intentionally not simulated here.

Not enabled in the stock Play! browser core. We will add these only after native state functions are exposed and verified.

The current Play! web binding exposes game boot and frame statistics, but not native pause/reset/save-state calls. This build preserves working gameplay instead of pretending those functions exist.
